The Face Behind the Voice

He sounded confident. Said he worked for the 'Indian Consulate'. But scratch the surface, ask one or two real questions, and that fake confidence crumbles faster than a cheap knockoff.

In this post, we’re breaking down what to listen for, and what to look out for - when the next 'official' call hits your phone.

You’ll meet the man behind the voice - yes, we’ve got a photo and a short clip. Spoiler: he’s no diplomat. Just another poorly trained scammer with a half-baked script and zero class.

Here's the trick:

Real officers - whether from the embassy, police, or any proper department - didn’t earn their positions by bluffing their way through Google Meet. These are educated, well-trained people. They listen more than they speak. They explain clearly. They don’t threaten. And they don’t panic you into payments.

Watch for these red flags:

  • They dodge specifics: ask for their department or office ID - they’ll fumble.

  • Their tone flips: start calm, end aggressive - dead giveaway.

  • The script slips: they forget what they told you 5 minutes ago.

Here’s what real professionals do instead:

  • Give full names, references, and official emails.

  • Follow protocol - no shortcuts, no pressure.

  • They aim to help you, not scare you.

And if you listen closely, you’ll notice something else: these callers aren’t even Indian. The center of gravity feels completely off. It’s like someone gave them a crash course in 'how to sound official' but skipped the part about actually sounding real. Aaand forces you to wonder… who trained these guys? IYKYK.

Take a look at this guy:

We’re dropping a photo and a short clip below so you know exactly what not to fall for.

Spoiler: no diplomat here, just another under-trained impersonator with a script that wouldn’t survive a first draft. Real officers - embassy, police, government - don’t earn their position by bluffing through Google Meet. They listen more than they speak. They explain clearly. They treat you with respect.
